Segment pump EIPS
Radially compensated · reversable - Axially compensated Design
System Eckerle EIPH, the new generation of crescent (segment) pumps,
are gap compensated internal gear pumps with a steady volumetric
flow rate. The meshing length of the gear cogs causes an only slight
pulsation of either the system pressure and the volume flow rate,
which is fundamental for silent operation.
Radial compensation
Two crescents (segments) generate the radial compensation force.
Seal rolls – spring loaded – guarantee an almost gapless sealing.
According to the operating pressure both crescents fit closely to
the pinion’s and the ring gear’s cog tips. Several cog tips meeting
the segments results in very high tightness. If specified to a
symmetrical design the pump can operate in either direction – the
excelent efficiency remaining unaffected.
Axial compensation
This type of pump can also be equipped with an axial sealing shim
for axial gap compensation. The immovable shim, sealing the moving
gear components. Due to axial and radial compensation the pump can
be used within its entire speed range as an metering device.
EIPS 2: Internal Gear pump

Low noise
Long service lifetime
Low pulsation (pressure pulsation ~ 2%)
EIPS 3: Internal Gear pump
Displacement: 20-50 cm³/u
Operating Pressure: max. 350 bar
Internal gear pump with axial and radial gap compensation
Radial compensation with segments
Pressure cast cover
Field of application: Mobile hydraulic systems, e.g. for fork lifts

Replacement pumps EIPS 2-16 144
Displacement: 15,8 cm³/u
Operating Pressure: max. 275 bar
The original ECKERLE Internal Gear Pump,
Type EIPS 2-16 144 is the exchangeable internal gear pump for use in the
Unimog and in the MB Truck.
The permissible permanent pressure provides
with 230 bar more pressure than the original pumps. This means further power
reserves for your vehicle.
The ECKERLE EIPS 2-16 144 pump is only available as 16 cm3 /U. The
replacement of the 13 cm3/U pumps with the 16 cm3/U pump is generally
unproblematic. The counterclockwise rotating pump has the item reference
number . . ...644.
Mobile hydraulic - Ring pump EIPR
Radially and axially
compensated - Without crescent (without segments) Design
System Eckerle EIPR, the new genaration of circular pumps, are gap
compensated internal gear pumps. The meshing length of the gear cogs
causes an only slight pulsation of either the system pressure and
the volume flow rate, which is fundamental for silent operation.
Radial compensation
The radial compensation force is transferred from the compensation
ring to the internal gear. In accordance to the operating pressure
the cogs of pinion shaft and internal gear achieve the sealing. This
‚roll gliding’ ensures high tightness but low friction forces. The
pressing force is very low.
Axial compensation
This pump type is equippel with axial discs for gap compensation.
The sealing is due to a fixed disc against gear parts in operation.
